Smart (old Umobile prefix)

Mobile phone area codes in the Philippines are composed of three digits and always start with the number 9. Originally, there were only three prefixes or area codes used for mobile phones: 917 for Globe Telecom, 918 for Smart Communications and 973 for Express Telecom, the three existing mobile companies at the time. As service grew rapidly throughout the 1990s and even until today, existing codes have been exhausted and new codes have been added to fulfill demand. [Source: Wikipedia]

Hello World! - Blogging (Learn...Share...IT...)
www.learnshareit.blogspot.com

Time was 12:16 am 15th day of September 2013 when www.learnshareit.blogspot.com was alive.  I am repairing my wife's acer laptop using window 8 OS.  While waiting with the software repair, it suddenly came up in my mind to create a blog site where I can put my ideas, stuff and IT related topics that can be share to the world especially with the same interest - the IT world.

Let me introduce myself first, by profession I am an IT Instructor and designated as department head of our IT course.  Almost five years in experience of being the department head and instructor, and still conducting classes for our IT students.

I consider blogging as a way of sharing things to the world what you want to share particularly - information.  My primary goal for this blog is reflected with the blog site name.  Despite I am teaching now, I still want to Learn and Share the term "IT".

The first thing that will be asked by a new blogger was "What is Blog?".  According to a website http://codex.wordpress.org/Introduction_to_Blogging , blog can define as follows:

"Blog" is an abbreviated version of "weblog," which is a term used to describe web sites that maintain an ongoing chronicle of information. A blog features diary-type commentary and links to articles on other Web sites, usually presented as a list of entries in reverse chronological order. Blogs range from the personal to the political, and can focus on one narrow subject or a whole range of subjects.

Many blogs focus on a particular topic, such as web design, home staging, sports, or mobile technology. Some are more eclectic, presenting links to all types of other sites. And others are more like personal journals, presenting the author's daily life and thoughts.
Generally speaking (although there are exceptions), blogs tend to have a few things in common:

  • A main content area with articles listed chronologically, newest on top. Often, the articles are organized into categories.
  • An archive of older articles.
  • A way for people to leave comments about the articles.
  • A list of links to other related sites, sometimes called a "blogroll".
  • One or more "feeds" like RSS, Atom or RDF files.
Some blogs may have additional features beyond these.

Another website defines blogging as( https://firstsiteguide.com/what-is-blog ):
blog (shortening of “weblog”) is an online journal or informational website displaying information in the reverse chronological order, with latest posts appearing first. It is a platform where a writer or even a group of writers share their views on an individual subject.

With this definition in mind, I have decided to start this web log or simply this blog to learn, to share things IT stuff in the world wide web.
